Mi Papa
This was a 30-second spot produced for Don Pablo Coffee on the same trip to Colombia in 2012 when we shot “They Call Me Don Pablo.” This was an unexpected shoot (for me) that was conceived and written by Darron Burke (Don Pablo). The actors that you see, aside from Don Pablo and his partner Gustavo Ricon, are all family and friends of Gustavo.
That gorgeous view is really the view from Gustavo’s driveway. We placed a table there and rehearsed this over and over because we had about 20 minutes to shoot this while the sun was in just the right position and before it went away completely.
