VIP
“VIP” was our fourth effort with Rand Eye Institute, and this one had a lot of collaborators. As usual, Mary Ann Tardiff was the Comcast Spotlight Account Executive and Jackie Sandoval was my key contact and collaborator at Rand Eye. I have to take this opportunity to mention the man who had assisted me on all Rand Eye shoots up to this point and on the subsequent “Without Boundaries” spot, Jared Kirshenbaum. He was an immense help on all the shoots and a very creative video producer on his own. He worked in-house with Rand Eye and he also became a good friend. We lost Jared several years ago unexpectedly and he is sorely missed.
This was shot over one night (except for the golf course shots) in front of Rand Eye. We had all sorts of help, from the people that set up the red carpet, to the truck with the search lights, to limo drivers, to all the employees and friends who lined the red carpet, to Zach and Laura, to MT Jibs, and to Robert Goodrich who assisted me on that night. I believe we used every light Bluwave had in South Florida that night. And these were the days of tungsten so we were constantly blowing breakers. Good times.
